You Haven't Felt Solid Until You've Hit With an OB OB cue shafts are designed to give the performance of a low deflection/low squirt shaft with the solid hit of a traditional maple shaft. Each shaft is made from six stress relieved segments of laminated Straight Grain Maple that have been machined to remove internal stress, ensuring the finished product's overall straightness and stability. Because of this unique construction, OB shafts have a consistent stiffness no matter how you rotate them. They are also known for having a solid hit, with no whippy or inconsistent feel. This solid hit and feel are due to unique tapers with solid wood shaft ends (including ferrules) and high-density sound dampening foam throughout the rest of the shaft core. OB Original shafts include: the OB-1 with 12.75mm Everest tip, 3/4" laminated maple ferrule and modified pro taper; and the OB-2 with 11.75mm Everest tip, shortened 1/2" laminated maple ferrule and combination pro/conical taper. Or, if you like a stiffer hit with traditional ferrule, check out the OB Pro and OB Pro Classic shafts. They have the same specs as classic OB shafts, but with fiber in place of laminated maple ferrules.
